(assuming LCD, I think we already established plasma is not suitable cause of burn in) LCDs much less electrically noisy than even small CRT monitors, I don't have a studio, just line 6 guitar port, but I had annoying interference when playing guitar (i.e. humming) with CRT I used to have (which went away when I turned it off and was going down when guitar was further from it so i am sure it was the monitor). However with 52 inch CRT (sony bravia xbr4) I didn't detect any interference.
