One good thing about a large plasma monitor is that looking at pictures 
cropped to 800x600 is extreemely high definition with a low res setting.

Images that would normally be tiny and difficult to see are as big as 
your head at this resolution and surprisingly are also extremely clear.

That might not be useful for audio work though and could actually become 
a serious distraction to getting things done. I guess if you are 
disciplined or work in a public space it wouldn't be a problem though ;-)
