No, the Control I/O modules are solely for passing control values within
Ingen. It's like audio, just at a slower rate.

In principle, they could be exposed to external apps along with audio
and event ports that happen to be on the root patch, I guess. But no
reason to do so, as long as there is nothing that could connect to them.

There are range converter plugins in the omins plugin collection, part
of Dave's lad repository.
