Do you know of any software that will do this? I believe that "ducking" in traditional analog audio was done using a compressor with a side-chain input from an override channel. When the announcer talking is heard in the side-chain, the compressor turns down the volume on the normal program. That may not be quite what he wants. Perhaps he would rather pause and then resume the normal program. I might not call that "ducking", but the terminology is not important.
