Hi Fernando,

I confirm midi is working with 2.6.26-8 on debian lenny but jackd freezes trying to stop when with snd_seq. (DLs state in the output of `ps -ax`).

I didn't test the other alternatives (not a midi fan... simple user) but I am going to and feedback to this thread.

Realtime patched kernels for Fedora 9 are available from the Planet
CCRMA repositories. The newest ones come from the "testing" repository
and that includes 2.6.24.7-rt21 and 2.6.26.7-rt11 kernels, the former
seems to work fine (so far). I received an answer off the list about
midi & 2.6.26.x and that user had it working. I'm looking at config file
differences now, but his system is 64 bits and mine is 32...
