I think the xv series are to expensive, but the jv1010 looks 
interesting. Are there other similar models which are worth it? Jv 1080, 
jv 880, jv 2080 for example?

And how does it works? Fatar > soundmodule > amp?
And can I use the module without keyboard but with my Linux box?
