   Another real scripting idea:
#!/bin/bash
# [some awk stuff here, around this]
my_length=`ecalength $1 | awk '{ split($0,myarr,"wav:"); print myarr[2] }' | 
awk 'print $1 }'`
ecasound [your options] -a:all -t:$my_length
   Could probably done more easily.
