Hi all,

sure you can!

I have an amd64 with Debian Etch installed running a RT kernel for
months, and 0 xruns when recording several tracks on the fly. I have a
RME 9632 card doing the job quite good, with around 5 ms latency
(though i started with 2.67ms).

I have a tutorial, but written in spanish, on how to build a RT kernel
for etch. You can check it out at
http://telemacro.wordpress.com/tag/realtime/ . Maybe it is a bit
outdated, it was some months ago, but can-t differ so much. Basically
you have to patch your kernel and do some capabilities configuration.
Even downloading an already made RT kernel from a distro, you-ll have
to setup some things.

Bye!

fabi.
