Not necessarily. Some Ricohs have problems, others are quite okay. Check the 
archive of LAU and ffado-users for R5C832 (or even better the numbers 
that "lspci -nn" displays in brackets).

Mine is the R5C552 [1180:0552] and works flawless for hours on 8ms latency...
