without the option -s i installed Ardour. But i still wonder why was it disabled in package manager ?

asmok@edubuntu:~$ ardour2 --version

  (built using 2496 and GCC version 4.1.3 20070929 (prerelease) (Ubuntu 4.1.2-16ubuntu2))
asmok@edubuntu:~$

Please, open your repositories and then just install it.
