jack/alsa/libfreebob with Phase X24

Heya, been looking for some days now for a fix to my problem - no application wants to output to my phase x24 fw soundcard.
When i posted about it is was linked to this mailing list :)

First some system info:
jackd --version: jackd version 0.103.0 tmpdir /dev/shm protocol 16
uname -rsvo: Linux 2.6.24.2-1.rt1.3.fc8.ccrmart #1 SMP PREEMPT RT Tue Feb 12 19:22:02 EST 2008 GNU/Linux

libavc1394: libavc1394-0.5.3-1.fc6
libfreebob: libfreebob-1.0.3-1.fc7

I'm running fedora core 8, with a realtime patched kernel from planet CCRMA (a repo specialised for audio), including jack from there.
This is my log from Qjackctl:

From that i think it looks OK(but then I'm new to this), (except for the warnings, i don't know where they are from, and google wouldn't enlighten me)

However, when starting hydrogen i get this up my face (when i select JACK as output driver):
Error starting audio driver
Jack driver: cannot connect output port.

And the message log from qjackctl gets some new messages:

20:31:58.713 ALSA connection change.
20:32:09.409 ALSA connection graph change.
20:32:37.114 ALSA connection graph change.
20:32:37.165 JACK connection graph change.
unknown destination port in attempted connection [alsa_pcm:playback_1]

If i open up the connect settings in qjackctl, i can see that it detects the card, with 4 in 4 out channels, all with "PHASE X24 FW" somewhere in the name.
When i press start/stop in qjackctl, i can hear a slight.. crunch (translation program, forgot the word, and this word was not what i was out for) through the speakers.

Running jack with alsa as the handler works - hydrogen outputs without problems (hydrogen set to jack, jack set to alsa).

Any idea what is needed to get it to work? Is my only real option to compile from SVN, or am i missing something?

Sorry if this message is bloated, but i believe in more information than too little.
