But don't nail me on this. :-) | | So it's down to Lilypond vs MusicXML. I think I prefer MusicXML as a | format, but the main thing now is a good editor and viewer for it. | You know, part of it depends on what you are doing. You might think about all of them for different things. For example, I need to keep track of a lot of fiddle tunes. I have tried lilypond for that, but abc is good enough and much simpler. Your file manager or make should know how to create a pdf from whatever format you choose. You could try Quanta for editing MusicXML. It's not a music editor, but it's a generic XML editor, which seems more like what you will want anyway. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.6 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iD8DBQFHq3HnTi5xeapaTM0RAokfAJ4mgLNbmlaruPRLsNw0/MhLmHTcgQCgpm72 8OfFCuEnuhx/Pk4XOmXiO5I= =v9hi -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- _______________________________________________ Linux-audio-user mailing list Linux-audio-user@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx http://lists.linuxaudio.org/mailman/listinfo/linux-audio-user
