I got the same processor running 64-bit debian sid running jack at 44.1khz, 64 sample buffer on Audiophile 2496 soundcard with no xruns. Are you running realtime kernel with realtime box checked in qjackctl/settings (or with -R option on command line)? (I got 4GB dual-channel RAM and 2 SATA DRIVES...) I talked to my programming prof about this, and he thinks the fact that I'm using a 64-bit OS might have a lot to do with it. I'll try installing the 32-bit version of Ubuntu Studio at some point this week and see if that changes anything (I keep all of my data on a separate partition, so it's not a huge operation for me). -- Darren _______________________________________________ Linux-audio-user mailing list Linux-audio-user@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx http://lists.linuxaudio.org/mailman/listinfo/linux-audio-user Make the switch to the world's best email.
