Hi, I am trying to get Skype working with idjc (Internet DJ Console) so I can play music on Skype. I run debian sid amd64 on AMDX2 dual-core. I got standalone Skype Beta 2.0.0.27 (static version) working with webcam. I followed this Ubuntu guide http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=577914 to get Skype playing with idjc and JACK but its written for 32-bit. I compiled idjc (64 bit) ok using this page http://www.onlymeok.nildram.co.uk/download.html with plain ./configure command. idjc starts ok, loads, plays tracks ok. When I start Skype from the terminal I get ALSA lib pcm_dmix.c:866:(snd_pcm_dmix_open) unable to open slave ALSA lib pcm_dsnoop.c:558:(snd_pcm_dsnoop_open) unable to open slave ALSA lib pcm.c:2106:(snd_pcm_open_conf) Cannot open shared library /usr/lib/alsa-lib/libasound_module_pcm_jack.so (repeats many times) I think/hope I got all deps and build deps including lib32asound2 and lib32asound2-dev and I definitely got /usr/lib/alsa-lib/libasound_module_pcm_jack.so on my system. I got ia32-libs. Do I need linux32? I already have a 32-bit chroot. Any help appreciated! Norv PS: When I Skype my bro in California from Australia we get a time lag between 0.5 and 1 second so live jams are not on :( Make the switch to the world's best email.
