with software monitoring do you mean the recording from softwaresources?i have a realtime kernel: 2.6.24-rc5 with realtime patch;i have 1 gigabyte ram with a pentium 4 (2.66 gigahertz, no ht) systemand an audigy es soundcard;in my /etc/security/limits.conf i have:@audio - nice -19@audio - rtprio 95@audio - memlock 512000
and i use this script when system starts:chrt -v -f -p 80 `pgrep softirq-timer`chrt -v -f -p 80 `pgrep softirq-hrtimer`chrt -v -f -p 82 `pgrep IRQ-21` --> my soundcard's irqchrt -v -f -p 98 `pgrep IRQ-8` --> rtc's irqchrt -v -f -p 70 `pidof "jackd"`
something wrong?

qmidiarp has jack support but i don't know how use it to connect thisapplication with a sofsynt (for example);there are some other new (and maybe gpl) arpeggiator?
