Of course freebob works better with it but that is because of the state of ffado. But it works rather well. Only the spdif-in is not working with freebob because freebob is missing the options to sync on external clocks. But when both freebob and ffado are installed, you can use freebob in jack to have the low-latency and use the ffado-tools before to set the syncing to external input (=spdif) as far as I remember.
