Hi!
  I've got the same problem with my jackd here. I'm also using an ICE1712 
(delta 1010LT). I don't know if this is card-dependent though.
  It always kills jack if I use ecasound to record from fluidsynth (last 
version) and then quit ecasound. And sometimes jack just quits on me while 
recording from the soundcard.
  I've got jackd 0.107.5 and kernel 2.6.23.1-rt11.
  I don't get any xruns (hardly any), but while recording I can't rely on jack 
anymore. Which is frustrating.
  ah Here's my jackd commandline:
jackd -R -d alsa -d hw:1 -r 48000 -p 128 -H -M -z shaped
(also tried -p 256, not better in the least)
