Well, kill -9 doesn't work either. If I use dmesg I get the following

... unfortunately I have nearly no idea what this is telling me. Are there
some information about a possible reason to find in this output?

I would assume that the answer is in the first line: a null pointer 
dereference in the kernel.
Well, seems like i have to ask the JAD guys, right?
