thanks but not even this array of tricks help. could someone perhaps
post their /etc/conf.d/timidity /etc/init.d/timidity and/or
/etc/timidity.cfg files so i can compare. i amd completely stumped,
perhaps i'm doing something completely wrong.
jack_lsp still shows nothing, even tho it is making sound.
