If you are willing to pull a development branch of libsndfile out of
my Bzr reository:

   http://www.mega-nerd.com/Bzr/libsndfile-vorbis/

then you can have this now :-).

   bzr get http://www.mega-nerd.com/Bzr/libsndfile-vorbis/
   cd libsndfile-vorbis/
   ./autogen.sh
   make all check

It is reasonably stable (no known bugs), just waiting for some doc 
updates and then merging into the main branch.
