:-) That is why I said "most". From my experience with three high(er) quality 
soundcards, those with XLR- and line-inputs also have instrument-inputs. 
Maybe I should reword it: If your card has mic- (XLR) and Line-level inputs 
for each channel, it most probably also can be driven by instruments. :-)
