Thanks for the feedback folks, gonna try out aubiocut...

Unfortunately the reason I don't want to do this by hand is I have several thousand tracks like this, which will add up VERY quickly.  As such an automated process is a much better bet for me I think, but thanks for the suggestion.

ecasound:
ecasound -c -i file.wav
  There you can listen anduse getpos/setpos to find ideal breakpoints by hand.
