debian testing & pam modules

hallo list,
i have a question about debian-testing and pam modules.
i am still using pam modules from ubuntustudio v0.76.22-ubuntu3studio1 for accesing realtime priorities as user. those i have installed at least one year ago and blocked them in synaptic for not being able to replace them, cause at that time the debian version was not 'patched for realtime' (sorry don't know the right expression here). so what is the status in debian now - could i simply unblock the pam modules and get the one from debian-testing, which is v0.99.7.1-4?
is this possible or would i have any performance issues if replacing?

cheers,
doc
