Hi,
I just re-open this thread, to tell that freebob works with my firewire ExpressCard. (not pcmcia but ExpressCard)
I tried it some time ago without success, but today, I was surfing on the Dell website (I got an Inspiron 9400), and saw a bios update for firewire express card. And now, it works !!!!!! I am sooo happy !

config  :
laptop Dell Inspiron 9400
Fedora 7 with planet CCRMA
sound card : Presonus Firebox!

Running Jack with :

frames/period : 64
Sample Rate : 48000
Periods/Buffer : 3
Latency : 4ms

I am listening music with Amarok while I am making a patch with Pure data since 2hours without Xruns !
ohohoh !! I am So Happy :D

Cheers,

Erwan
