Yes it is just MY opinion, but I am very disapointed.
I'm not. I use Ubuntu 7.04 (you can call it Feisty Fawn or Ubuntu
Studio). I use Alessio's realtime kernel and added few repo's more:
w32codecs:
deb http://packages.medibuntu.org/ feisty free non-free
deb http://archive.ubuntustudio.org/ubuntustudio feisty main
Cinelerra:
deb http://www.kiberpipa.org/~gandalf/ubuntu/feisty/cinelerra/i686/ ./
Realtime kernel:
deb http://www.texware.it/ubuntu feisty/
deb-src http://www.texware.it/ubuntu feisty/
And I have builded some too old packages from source:
Kino 1.1
Rosegarden 1.5.1
Audacity 1.3.3
XVidCap 1.1.6
LiVES 0.9.8.6
My opinion is that if you need something really new stuff, you can build
it very easily upon Ubuntu 7.04, all dev-libraries are in right places.
So Ubuntu 7.04 have all what I need.
Best regards Asmo Koskinen.
