It reminds me of the mid-1980's post-punk I used to hear on stations like WNYU in New York and KXLU in Los Angeles. The combination of drum machine and swampy riffs put me in mind of Big Black (and the Cramps). Though the heavy crunchy guitar sound sounds more metal than punk to me. Is that CAPS LADSPA ToneStack? I like it.
