Yes. Autostart is an option in -> Preferences now.
It still has a nervous tendency to autostart when
you don't expect it, e.g. when removing an file in
the gtk2 playlist.
you are right, here too if the player is stopped and i delete a track
which is marked with the little loudspeaker from the playlist , the
playback will start.
