Of course.  But then it'd be nice to have a keyboard/controller whose
little display can actually interface with Linux apps.  It would be
even nicer to have a protocol defined for such a purpose.  But then,
maybe it's not possible as MIDI could very well not permit this kind of
thing (I don't know much about MIDI details).
