"This cool effect, originarily intented as a trumpet simulator (the more or less known Vox Clyde McCoy), has been made famous by Jimi Hendrix, and is a simple bandpass filter with a high Q (a value around 10 seems to fit best). The pedal's movement controls the resonance frequency of the filter, and ranges from about 500Hz to 4000Hz. That's all"
