Yes: there are problems for now at ftp://musix.ourproject.org

ftp://musix.ourproject.org/pub/musix/

apt-cache policy rosegarden
rosegarden:
  Installed: 1:1.5.1-2
  Candidate: 1:1.5.1-2
  Version table:
 *** 1:1.5.1-2 0
        500 ftp://musix.ourproject.org ./ Packages
        100 /var/lib/dpkg/status
     1:1.4.0-1 0
        500 ftp://ftp.fr.debian.org etch/main Packages

apt-get install rosegarden
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree... Done
The following extra packages will be installed:
  libxml-parser-perl libxml-twig-perl rosegarden-data sndfile-programs
Suggested packages:
  libunicode-map8-perl libunicode-string-perl
Recommended packages:
  libtie-ixhash-perl libxml-xpath-perl
The following NEW packages will be installed:
  libxml-parser-perl libxml-twig-perl rosegarden-data sndfile-programs
The following packages will be upgraded:
  rosegarden
1 upgraded, 4 newly installed, 0 to remove and 41 not upgraded.
Need to get 6420kB of archives.
After unpacking 2249kB of additional disk space will be used.
Do you want to continue [Y/n]?

But ftp://musix.ourproject.org does not reply... for now.

 | I thought it was RT-patched, downloaded, and found out that it wasn't.
 |
 | I ended up building a 2.6.21 with Ingo's RT patch -1, from source. Took
 | only a short time to build, and worked great. Yay make-kpkg.

Sorry: I dont build kernels for Musix, but I used to think that they are
realtime patched:

cat /boot/config-2.6.21-rt1 | grep -i real
# CONFIG_APM_REAL_MODE_POWER_OFF is not set
CONFIG_NETFILTER_XT_MATCH_REALM=m
# Real Time Clock
CONFIG_REALTIME_CAPABILITIES=m

marcos@6[~]$ cat /boot/config-2.6.17-2-multimedia-486 | grep -i real
# CONFIG_APM_REAL_MODE_POWER_OFF is not set
CONFIG_NETFILTER_XT_MATCH_REALM=m
# Real Time Clock
CONFIG_SECURITY_REALTIME=m

I am running JACK as normal user, and it runs in realtime:

ps -C jackd -cmL
  PID LWP CLS PRI TTY TIME CMD
18315     - -     - ?        00:00:27 jackd
    - 18315 TS   21 -        00:00:00 -
    - 18319 TS   20 -        00:00:00 -
    - 18320 TS   24 -        00:00:00 -
    - 18321 FF   60 -        00:00:00 -
    - 18436 FF   50 -        00:00:23 -

uname -a
Linux Musix 2.6.21 #1 SMP PREEMPT Fri Apr 27 18:08:33 EEST 2007 i686 GNU/Linux

with no xruns at all running ardour, etc.
