Interesting stuff. Have not really tried such samplers and slicers yet but 
will. I also have freewheeling which is in this realm. Do not really 
understand it.

Note: the scons install is placing stuff in /usr/bin. What I compile myself 
would better (and more in standard *nix practice) go to /usr/local/bin.
