I take the same attitude with all creative activities such as art,
dance, prose & poetry. If I like it, then that's good. If I don't, well
I know what not to see/hear.

that's very limiting... if I want to analyze it I will analyze it whether I like it or not... not seeing music in math or math in music makes for a poorer experience...
