Hello LAUs,

maybe someone here knows how I can record from an ICE1712's Monitor
Mixer using ALSA? I routed the HW in 1/2 to the digital mixer in
envy24control, and now I want to record that, but I'm perhaps just
too stupid to find out how the monitor mixer is called in ALSA.
The Monitor Mixer outputs should be available as inputs 11 & 12.
I'm curious about this, too. For recording from my ICE1712 based DSP3000/DSP24 I use this format:

s32_le,12,44100,i (12 channels of 32 bits, interlaced)

In my case that would be 8 channels of XLR
inputs, 2 channels of SPDIF; the final 2 channels
I believe to be the mixer out. But I've never
succeeded in recording these last two channels.

Yup, sounds you also mean the monitor mixer, that's exactly what I want
to record too. I cannot believe it's not possible to access that device
with ALSA. No problem on a Mac or on Linux with OSS... *shrug*

Usually I just do the mixing in Ardour or Ecasound.
