I tried to build this last batch myself (Fiesty) and had nothing but problems.  Pre-packaged debs are a beautiful thing!

yes, i'm aware of them, and no, they won't handle it for me (too busy i
was told).

since i'm mostly busy with coding the whole thing, i'd prefer someone
else to take care of that. it's a proof of concept, and a starter for
packagers.
