I've found people to have very differing opinions about dell. My Dell D820
laptop is an engineering masterpiece (altough it doesn't look as cool as
those *books).
My experience with Dell is that you get what you pay for. The Precision
workstations I use at work are great machines. Especially compared to
the Dimension's I worked with. But a Precision is twice as expensive. I
guess the same goes for the Latitude vs the Inspiron laptops.
