I found with all three laptops I've had (all Dells)
I don't trust Dell hardware. I spent 11 years working on a help desk for
a large local corporation. When they switched from IBM hardware to Dell
hardware, our hardware trouble call counts TRIPLED.
I can't find any such noise on my Toshiba laptop.
