Hi,

That gives a good overview of a simple layout for a complex task.

There is also the ardour shot which I'm sure everyone has seen.

However for the sake of this excercise I would love to see someone with a smp system and loads of memory pushing it to it's limits...

Maybe today I'll give it a try but I only have a 2.6GHZ with onboard video and 512MB RAM so it can only take me so far...

Cheers.

Cool idea Patrick!

This is perhaps not as ambitious as some of the other screenshots. It is
from an actual work of mine:

(this is a stereo version, so the JACK does not look all that convoluted as
opposed to the 8-channel version).

Best wishes,

Ico

Subject: COMPETITION: Most Loaded Desktop Screenshot

Hi,

I would like to add a screenshot of a Linux Desktop running as many
sound applications as possible.

I thought this might be fun to have a little competition to see who can
come up with the most heavily loaded and well laid out (cluttered might
be a better word) desktop.

I'll give people a few days to send in an example and the one deemed the
most attractive will be given a very prominent location on the LAU
Guide.

I will also make a page of all the entries which will become the next
Quicktoot and be interesting to look at too.

- There is no size restriction and video/animation/flash will also be
accepted.

- Either post the url or send the entries directly to me.

Cheers.
