Can you tell how good (quality) is the record on line in ?

I've an older iAudio G3, but I've found record quality to be excellent (if you choose wav format).

The mp3 compression has some unpleasant artifacts, but I may not be using the latest firmware.

I use it for quick recordings when the computer is off - just hook the line-in via the patchbay.
