Anyone using Presonus Firepod successfully?

I see it listed in the Freebob matrix but would like to hear any 
firsthand reports with more detail, on either PC or Mactel arch. This 
looks like a good potential linux and mactel solution for me if it 
works. And I've heard good things about those Presonus preamps for the 
price.
