I think I may be seeing the same problem on 2.6.16.20.
I think it may be related to irq routing, the RMB hammerfall
I have is sharing with some usb stuff.  Well, that's what
someone on LKML told me.  2.6.16.11 worked.
Same .config file, (but different ALSA, I think.)

I don't have the rt patches in either kernel.
