Not exactly. While not sticking to VB and learning C is very
convenient for every programmer or IT guy, I would not tell anybody
who feels comfortable creating art with Acid to try and create art
with some other tool not so comfortable to him.

Creating art has a lot to do with comfortability. I never became a
photographer until digicams came to my life. :)
