Here is my udev rule: ACTION=="add", SYSFS{modalias}=="usb:v0763p1014d0001dcFFdscFFdpFFic*isc*ip*", RUN+="/usr/local/sbin/midisport_fw" As you can see I moved the midisport_fw script (and I changed a couple of paths therein, but that's irrelevant). The point is the old script works great, just use it. I don't remember why, but when I tried it the way you have it, it did the same thing for me that it's doing for you.
