I tried to leave a note with what I have learned by now on http://www.alsa-project.org/alsa-doc/doc-php/template.php?company=RME&card=Digi96%2F8+PAD.&chip=FPGA&module=rme96 but I'm not sure it will show up since I received some kind of error message in the browser. I already informed the webmaster about this.
