I am using kernel 2.6.13-1.1526_FC4 and the Hammerfall HDSP multiface on an AMD64 3400+ laptop in i386 mode, and the best
I can do with no XRUNS in jack is 42.7msec latency (48kHz at 1024 frames).
This is not becasue of PD. If I lower the framecount with only jackd running and switch windows I get XRUNS.

This is why I want to use the rt5 kernel.

How did you get such low latency with the standard kernel?
Is there a howto page somewhere?

Thanks,
