Hi Christophe. I had the same problem. The 2.4 kernel on my upgraded to testing (sarge) loaded the synth module ok, but the 2.6 kernel I installed didn't want to know. Put the snd-emu10k1-synth module in /etc/modules, then reboot the machine and you should find it loads ok. Nigel.
