Hey, you just added the "reset all with one command" requirement
just to be picky!  Seriously though, the numerical peak indicators
do actually change to red when >= 0db.  So ardour comes the closest
to satisfying your need.  A few feature requests should do it (peak hold forever,
and global numeric peak reset).

 > meterbridge: falloff is not adjustable.

Feature request, it's about time it got better.
