Weird.  Maybe JACK is broken at 44.1 KHz after all.

So, what other hardware has the problem at 44.1?  I can easily reproduce
it with my SBLive!.

It's strange that you can play MP3s or movies all day with the emu10k1
at 44.1 and it works perfectly, but everyone has this problem with JACK.
