[linux-audio-user] best synthetic bass?

I'd like to add add a bass line to some songs, in order to compose and 
listen previews
(then I will ask a friend for a *real* bass)

What tools do you recommend me?
any outstanding soundfont does the job?

for drums, I'm really happy with hydrogen :)
