I think the shareware license was $25 or $30. I used it to compose these silly little pieces: http://zhevny.com/audio/MGGM/ using the cheasy GMish softsynth that came along with MacOS 8, mostly painting the notes or playing the onscreen keyboard with a (single-button) mouse.
