As far as I can tell the > filesystem for hda2 is ext3, but specifying that filesystem doesn't work. recent kernels list all supported filesystem types in /proc/filesystems. If ext3 is not part of this list then you're somewhat out of luck, at least as long as no newer kernel is available. It might be possible to reverse your ext3 system back to ext2, though.
